Personal Values
Below are Nini’s personal values, boundaries and requirements as they pertain to movement and performance spaces:
-The consent and safety of every participant must always be a top priority.
-Venues must have a separate space dedicated solely to the performers for dressing and changing.
-As a performer, I engage with productions that:
Provide monetary compensation to performers.
Consider and value the input of their entertainers.
Offer freedoms for personal creativity and individual style.
Prioritize and value Black, Indigenous and LGBTQ+ creators and producers and the expressions that are meaningful and innate to them.
Recognize strippers/sex workers and their contributions to performing arts and nightlife entertainment, especially within the respective pole and burlesque industries.
Celebrate and include various shapes, sizes and body types among those sharing the space.
Support and encourage artists from marginalized groups to vocalize issues that impact them such as discrimination, othering, violence, or microaggressions.
Welcome varying styles of movement and skill levels among everyone involved.
